Event Recap: iGB Affiliate & ICE Barcelona 2025
One of the biggest events of the year – iGB Affiliate & ICE Barcelona 2025.
If you weren’t there, well, you seriously missed out. Picture high-stakes networking, industry power players dropping knowledge bombs, and deals flying left and right. But don’t stress – we’ve got the juicy highlights right here.
🗓️ Date: 20-22 January 2025
📌 Place: Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸
🏟️ Venue: Fira Barcelona Gran Via, Av. Joan Carles I, 64, 08908 L’Hospitalet de Llobregat
First Impressions: Size Matters
ICE Barcelona was stupidly massive. The kind of massive where you question if you’ll ever find your meeting spot – or your way out. If you thought the London edition was big, this one laughed in its face. Meanwhile, iGB Affiliate was more intimate – fewer people, but a goldmine for making solid industry connections.
The Event App
The iGB app actually did what it was supposed to – help people meet up without wanting to throw their phone into the Mediterranean. It was logical, user-friendly, and, shocker, people actually used it. ICE, on the other hand, forgot one crucial detail – booth numbers. Ever tried finding someone in a crowd of thousands with nothing but a vague “we’re near the entrance” message? Exactly.
Who Was There & What They Wanted
- Europe showed up strong, but so did South East Asia – especially at iGB.
- The buzzword? India. Everyone and their dog was trying to figure out how to break into that market.
- Some of the biggest networks, tech vendors, and media buyers were in the mix, ready to talk traffic and ROI.
The most repeated question? “Where’s Jimmy from Adcash?” – because apparently, he was everyone’s go-to guy.
Networking & Deals
Connections were made. Drinks were shared. Deals were agreed. Many of the conversations leaned towards reactivating existing clients, but prepayment remains a challenge in this space. That said, the potential was undeniable, and the lead quality was high.
Work Hard, Party Harder
If you left Barcelona without a few wild stories, you weren’t networking right. The after-parties were legendary, and the casual meetups were just as valuable as the scheduled meetings. Deals were sealed over tapas and too many cocktails, as they should be.
