Event Recap: SBC Summit Lisbon 2026

Last year, SBC Summit Lisbon went supersized for the first time and sweated through it. Literally. This year, the organizers came back prepared. The crowds remained huge, the booths continued to be massive, but this time, the AC worked from day one.

Thanks to the perfect blend of size, vibes, and opportunity, the result was the best conference on our calendar this year, by some distance.

WHO WAS THERE & WHAT THEY WANTED

We don’t go to SBC Summit Lisbon 2026 to prospect. We go because every big partner we work with is there, in the same building, for three days. Calls and emails keep a partnership running, but with everyone in one place, we could sit down properly together. Find out what’s working, and talk about next plans being laid down.

The big brands brought big booths and full calendars. The affiliate halls were packed from open to close. If you wanted a quiet corner for a meeting, good luck. The surprise was the new blood. Last year’s floor belonged to established players. This year, a wave of sweepstakes brands and US-focused products joined them, and they came looking for traffic. Our team was approached about sweeps for the US market again and again. Then again.

SBC SUMMIT LISBON 2026: KEY TRENDS

One word kept coming up: Brazil.

The country’s new regulations dominated the floor, and almost every brand we met was asking the same question. What do we do now? Not long ago, Brazilian traffic was a harder sell. Now everyone wants it. That shift puts our Brazilian traffic in serious demand, and we’re very happy to talk about it.

Licensing was the other topic doing the rounds, especially among brands working in unregulated markets. It’s a space we’ll be watching closely over the next few months.

THE VIBE CHECK

Last year, industrial AC units were wheeled in on day two. This year, the venue stayed cool from the start, and so did everyone in it. The whole event felt calmer. Fewer elbows where they didn’t belong. By day three, things were winding down naturally, and nobody seemed to mind.

Then there was Michael Jordan. Yeah, that’s not a typo. His keynote pulled a crowd not unlike when the Bulls were at their peak. When it ended, most of the room left with him. Thoughts and prayers for whoever had the next slot.

The SBC Summit Lisbon 2026 VIP pass came with a chip loaded with €30 of food credit per day, and the food trucks made every euro count. Dishes from all over the world, all of them exquisite. Conference food rarely earns a mention in our recaps for a reason. This one deserves every pixel of space we’ve given it. 

Some say we missed the after-parties because we were feeling under the weather. I say we’re just saving ourselves for next year, because from the photos and the stories, we missed some good ones.

SBC SUMMIT LISBON 2026: FINAL VERDICT

Brazil gave everyone something to talk about. Michael Jordan gave everyone something to queue for. And the AC finally gave everyone a break. The event was literally something for everyone. 

Calmer, cooler, and better organized than last year, SBC Summit Lisbon 2026 set the bar for every conference we attend. On top of that, every partner we wanted to meet was there. Massive win.

When SBC Lisbon is back, we will absolutely be there.
