Event Recap: Affiliate Takeover Barcelona 2026
Affiliate Takeover Barcelona brought the focus back to direct, person-to-person networking. Its compact setup made it easy to move through the room, reconnect with familiar faces, and turn quick introductions into longer conversations.
Our very own Logal represented Adcash on the ground, taking a proactive approach throughout the event. He worked the room, introduced Adcash to a wide range of attendees, and found the conversations where our traffic, technology, and performance expertise could add real value.

Different setup. Same objective: meet good people, understand what they’re building, and see where Adcash could help them grow.
📆 Date: 16–17 July, 2026
📍 Place: Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸
🏟️ Venue: Fira Barcelona Montjuïc, Hall 2
Who Was There and What They Wanted
Affiliate Takeover brought together a highly varied international crowd. Attendees had travelled from Germany, France, the US, and beyond, alongside plenty of international marketers already calling Barcelona home.
The businesses were just as mixed. There were affiliate marketers, agencies, direct-response brands, digital services, consumer products, and offers from some very specific corners of the online economy.

That variety made the conversations less predictable than at a conference focused on one or two dominant verticals. One introduction could lead to a discussion about a niche subscription service, while the next involved a completely different product, audience, or acquisition model. It meant starting from the beginning: what does the business offer, how is it currently acquiring customers, and where could paid traffic or affiliate distribution support its growth?
There were fewer generic pitches and more conversations built around understanding whether there was a genuine fit. When the audience is this specific, the right questions matter more than the loudest sales deck.
What Stood Out
The biggest difference was how directly business got done.
At larger events, elaborate booths, branded activations, and passing foot traffic often handle the introductions. Affiliate Takeover put more responsibility on the people in the room. You had to walk over, start talking, and find out whether the conversation had somewhere useful to go.
Those introductions opened the door to conversations about the parts of Adcash that matter most to performance marketers: global traffic coverage, flexible targeting, multiple ad formats, and tools designed to make campaign management more efficient.
That includes campaign automation through Auto Rules, which allows advertisers to optimize activity without manually watching every metric around the clock. For brands with stronger visual assets, Video Ads also provide another way to combine reach, attention, and performance.
Not every conversation was going to become a partnership. That is normal. The important part was identifying where Adcash could provide real value instead of forcing a connection where there wasn’t one.

The compact format also changed the networking dynamic. After a few hours, familiar faces started appearing everywhere. A quick introduction earlier in the day could naturally become a longer follow-up conversation later.
Instead of constantly disappearing into another hall, attendees kept crossing paths. It gave the event something of a neighbourhood feeling, only with more affiliate marketers and significantly more talk about evening plans.
The Vibe Check
The event organization was strong. The venue worked well, the schedule ran smoothly, and the experience inside the conference felt properly put together.
The bar area was one of the busiest parts of the venue, quickly becoming an unofficial second networking floor. Some conversations started there, others continued there, and a few probably stayed there considerably longer than planned.
The entire event felt very Barcelona-coded. Business happened during the day, but everyone also seemed to know which party they were attending, when they were leaving, and who they were bringing along.

That social side was not separate from the conference. It was part of how the event worked. Plans made on the floor carried into the evening, giving attendees more time to move beyond introductions and build actual relationships.
The smaller setting helped. It was easy to circle the venue, reconnect with someone, and continue a conversation without needing a map, a shuttle bus, or a small survival kit. Compact, international, and highly social. Barcelona understood the assignment.

Barcelona in peak summer is never going to be the cheapest conference destination. Still, good food, better weather, and a city built for extending the evening made the spend easier to justify.
Affiliate Takeover Barcelona 2026: Final Verdict
The event is building its place on the conference calendar, and it already has a clear identity. It works best for people prepared to walk the room, ask questions, and actively create their own opportunities.
No hiding behind the booth. No waiting for traffic to arrive.
