Mexico City. Endlessly busy, colourful and oh, so alive. SiGMA’s first swing at the North American market had loud boots to fill. It smashed expectations. The inaugural SiGMA North America summit landed at Centro Banamex, and Marouan Bouhachi and Andrea Finardi went in with the same solid plan that works every time: work the booth and reconnect with the partners already in the network. Only this time, they were here to see what a brand-new show in a Spanish-speaking market can do for the industry as a whole.

📆 Date: 2–3 September, 2026
📍 Place: Mexico City, Mexico 🇲🇽
🏟️ Venue: Centro Banamex

Who Was There and What They Wanted

This was a Spanish-language floor first and an expo floor second. Payment providers and game studios outnumbered direct advertisers by a wide margin, and outside of a handful of English speakers, every conversation ran in Spanish. Mexico and Brazil led the room, with Argentina building fast behind them. Affiliate World has the English-speaking side of LATAM covered. SiGMA North America is shaping up to be where the Spanish-speaking side shows up, with its own operators, budgets, and buying decisions to plan around.

Having a booth changed the shape of the two days. Instead of chasing conversations across the floor, people came to us, which made it far easier to spend real time with the partners already in the network rather than working a cold room.

SiGMA North America 2026: Key Trends

Sports traffic came up more than once, with several operators flagging a dip since the World Cup wrapped. Nothing alarming there. It’s the usual seasonal comedown after a global tournament, not a shift in the market.

The regional focus was sharp. Conversations kept circling back to Mexico and Brazil as the two markets to watch, with Argentina building momentum behind them. SiGMA’s timing plays into that too. Landing the week before the Affiliate Retreat and Affiliate World Americas in Cancun turned September into a genuine LATAM circuit, and plenty of the people we met were working the whole run, not just the one stop.

SiGMA North America 2026: The Vibe Check

Organization was smooth. No real complaints about logistics/communication. The one thing worth flagging for next time is scale. Centro Banamex is enormous, and our floor alone was hosting three separate events running in parallel. Great for footfall generally, but it meant the room felt bigger than the crowd actually attending our section.

SiGMA’s first Mexico edition already has other networks paying attention. It made the floor feel immediately competitive. A great sign of things to come.

SiGMA North America 2026: The Ratings

Location:
⭐⭐⭐⭐
(Mexico City backs up the LATAM focus. The market’s clearly there.)

Networking:
⭐⭐⭐⭐
(Fewer new advertisers than hoped, but the booth made every conversation count.)

Booths:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
(Having one instead of working the floor cold was the right call, full stop.)

Presentations/Speakers:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
(Sharp lineup, sharp sessions. The kind of agenda that made picking which talk to catch the hardest part of the day.)

After-events/Parties:
⭐⭐⭐⭐
(Good energy, good crowd. The SiGMA Official Party did exactly what it’s supposed to do.)

Cost (accommodation, food, etc.):
💰💰💰
(Mexico City stays reasonable by conference standards.)

SiGMA North America 2026: Final Verdict

For a first edition, SiGMA North America made a real case for itself. The advertiser volume wasn’t huge, but the booth turned a new, untested show into productive time with the partners that matter and a handful of leads nobody expected going in. With Affiliate World Americas landing in the same window, this is shaping up to be a LATAM doubleheader worth planning for years to come.

Good writing should feel like a conversation, not a lecture. I obsess over word choice so you don’t have to.
